runforthehelmet-logoMarch 13, 2015. Thanks in part to the efforts of Kolbeco, the 7th Annual St. Patrick Day Celebration in Cottleville, Mo. is projected to break attendance records. The event, which takes place tomorrow, features a parade and the Run for the Helmet 7K. Kolbeco’s support of the event included a communications strategy, gathering of sponsors and creating other grassroots marketing efforts.

The effectiveness of Kolbeco’s efforts is best exemplified by the number of runners projected for the Run for the Helmet. As of today, that number is 3,100, a 30 percent increase over last year. Potential runners can still sign up for the event before 7 PM at the Cottleville Firehouse.

Though Cottleville only has a population of 3,500, the foundation’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration is quickly becoming a tradition for area families. In 2014, nearly 70,000 people joined together to watch the parade.

The support of the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration is part of an ongoing effort by KolbeCo to strengthen community and fitness-based events. Other events in which Kolbeco acts as a marketing and event management partner include the Honduran Street Party Run, Mo’ Cowbell Marathon, Cowbell Uncorked Off-Road, Superhero Dash and the inaugural Hollywood Dash. Kolbeco is also an active sponsor of the St. Louis TriClub.
