Local marketing agency organizing area-wide collection of pet supplies
for the non-profit organization that rescues stray animals
Nov. 5, 2009: ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Visit the offices of Kolbeco, a local marketing and PR firm, and you will likely be greeted at the door by a few four-legged staff members. A dog-friendly office with a staff of avid animal lovers, has led the firm to sponsor the first donation drive for pet supplies, titled “Frills For Fur Babies” to benefit the St. Louis Stray Rescue organization.
“As a team of animal lovers at Kolbeco, we are big supporters of animal rescue groups,” said Lauren Kolbe, owner of Kolbeco. “In fact four out of five dogs on our ‘Board of Dog-rectors’ were adopted from local rescue organizations, and one staff member is even a foster parent for Stray Rescue throughout the year.”
While the Kolbeco team’s beloved pets are now living a pretty charmed life full of frills, there are many other shelter and foster animals still looking for permanent places to call home. In an effort to help these furry friends in need, collection sites have been set up across the St. Louis region to collect items such as: gently used towels and blankets, collars, leashes, crates, pet beds, new pet food and chew toys, among many other.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis is a non-profit organization run by volunteers that places stray animals into shelters and foster care homes until a permanent home is found for them. Items collected through December 18, 2009, will be donated to the organization.
“Donations of needed supplies allow us to dedicate more resources to the medical needs of the strays we rescue. Stray Rescue of St. Louis depends on the generous donations received by the public and every gift of dog food and supplies keeps us from having to purchase these items. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support,” said Randy Grim of Stray Rescue.
