Zoe has always been the one asking questions. As a child, she asked questions to the point that her mother would eventually run out of patience (and, on more than one occasion, offer to pay her for a little silence). Her dad, on the other hand, would always encourage her to chase her questioning instinct, convinced it was exactly what her curious mind needed to grow. Her zeal for understanding others and the world followed her to college where it took shape into a concentration in sociology, organization & management. Learning about people, how they organize, and how to manage them was fascinating, but something still felt incomplete without the deeper understanding data could provide. She wanted to use numbers to uncover the stories hiding behind them, and found the exact interaction of people, data and art in her first marketing class. Pairing a business degree with a humanities major was not just the right fit for Zoe but truly embodied her multidisciplinary inquisitiveness.
Zoe brings her perceptive mind to everything she does and tries to live by one of her favorite Anthony Bourdain lines “In the end, you’re just happy you were there—with your eyes open—and lived to see it. Outside of work, she’s usually curled up with some of Charles Bukowski’s poetry, humming along to jazz classics, or mapping out her next adventure. Her lifelong love of arts follows her everywhere: in her singing, her years of theatre, the moments in time she captures with her camera, and the afternoons she gets wrapped up in a craft project. She loves trying new food and has earned her reputation as the resident coffee expert, having even experienced the coffee-picking process when she visited Honduras. Above all, she brings a childlike wonder and analytic mind to every story she tells, and loves sharing those moments with the friends, family and felines around her. Whether it’s a poem, a photograph, or a passport stamp, Zoe is always chasing another way to tell a story.
As author Katherine Dunn once said, “every doorway and every intersection has a story,” this line is something Zoe takes to heart and brings to her marketing work. Zoe believes numbers are never just digits; they are a story waiting to be revealed, and it’s Zoe’s job is to find that story. Zoe is curious by nature, strategic by design, and a storyteller at heart.
