Lauren Kolbe named board chair of United Way of Greater St. Louis – West Region

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (February 27, 2018) — Lauren Kolbe (photo available), co-owner of kolbeco, was named 2018 auxiliary board chair for the United Way of Greater St. Louis – West Region. She succeeds Mike Borgna, with Data2 Corporation, who has held the chair position since 2016.

“United Way is woven into the fabric of our region, supporting local families through education, health, financial stability and basic needs,” said Kolbe. “I’m honored to serve as the West Region’s board chair and to work with generous, enthusiastic and passionate leaders to further United Way’s mission to help people live their best possible lives.”

Kolbe has served several roles with United Way’s West Region throughout the past few years, including as a member of the auxiliary board of directors since 2011. Additionally, she has served on the marketing and events, board development, campaign, and one-time grants committees.

Kolbe is partner and co-owner of kolbeco, a full service communications firm that provides public relations, marketing strategy, social media, and web design and development services. She was named a member of St. Charles Business Magazine’s 2008 40 under 40 class, was named among the Top 100 People in St. Louis to Know by St. Louis Small Business Monthly in 2012, and was a 2013 Beyond the Best in Business honoree. In addition to her support of United Way, Kolbe serves on the board of directors for the St. Charles County Workforce Development. She previously served on the board of directors for the American Marketing Association – St. Louis Chapter and was president in 2006.
