Kolbeco, a full service marketing and public relations firm, is pleased to welcome Gilda’s Club to St. Louis.
Gilda’s Club is a free support community for men, women and children whose lives have been touched by cancer, and their families and friends. The organization is named in honor of comedian Gilda Radner who was best known for her work on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. When describing the experience she had at a Los Angeles cancer support center, Gilda dreamed that such places could be made available for people living with cancer and their friends and families everywhere. Gilda died from ovarian cancer in 1989. But today, her spirit lives on in every Gilda’s Club.
The Gilda’s Club launch party on July 20 coincided with USA Today’s naming the organization as one of the top US Charities. The party was hosted by Kevin Brennan at his Central West End restaurant The Maryland House at Brennan’s. Pictured above are Jane Higgins, Kevin Brennan, Lauren Kolbe and Scott Kolbe.
Kolbeco President Lauren Kolbe currently serves on the Gilda’s Club steering committee, and on the organization’s PR committee. For more information on Gilda’s Club and upcoming events, visit www.gildasclubstl.org
